With our big 100th chapter milestone having just passed, we are excited to welcome new members and thankful for our current members as we bring you Chapter 101!

Included items:

Tip of the Iceberg – Multi photographer studios

Practice – Night shots with the Ice Light

Posing & Lighting – Arms, legs and hands

Icing on the Cake – Travis and Sarah – Groom’s coverage

Ice Queen – Marly

Ice Pick – Travis and Sarah – Bride’s coverage

Let’s start it off straight away for this month’s Ice Pick section as we bring you brand new coverage of Travis and Sarah’s wedding. Jerry starts with the bride’s coverage in her hotel suite where she got ready followed by a “first look” moment between the bride and her father. Watch as Jerry is able to capture many different poses and looks all within a space that was not very large. Natural window light and also the Ice Light were main lighting sources for these shots.
Continuing on to the Posing and Lighting section this month we review posing with a subject sitting on the ground. Attention to detail with posing legs and hands will really make or break these shots. Listen carefully as Jerry will work to make the subject look slimmer than she already is.
If you want to grow as an artist, you should be open to critique and then take that advice to perfect your craft. The Advice section is designed for just that. This month Jerry takes an Ice Society member’s album, folio of 10 images from one session and a  single image for critique. Be sure to share your work for future chapters.
Our Ice Queen this month is actually a bride that we photographed in Los Angeles a few months back. We would like to introduce you to Marly. Here’s a little peak into Marly and Pierre’s wedding day including a few bridal formals, both Marly and Pierre together, and a couple of ceremony shots
We often get questions of how to use the Ice Light in different scenarios so here are some great night shots using just the Ice Light. These photos were all taken on an ordinary city street in the evening. We hope thisPractice section will inspire you for your next shoot.
We recently received an email regarding booking other photographers in their studio so we wanted to feature it for the Tip of the Iceberg. We cover the best way to handle customers who are comfortable with your style but only have the option of one of your studio photographers for their wedding day.
We are concluding Chapter 101 with groom’s coverage from this month’s featured wedding of Travis and Sarah. Watch as Jerry utlizes the space where Travis is getting ready making sure to be unique in his approach because he has photographed in the same location previously. It’s a great lesson for our Icing On The Cake section that can be used for those who often photograph at the same location.
